Owner / Gallery Director
Chris created Jackson Junge Gallery along with his wife, Laura Junge. After graduating from Boston University with a BFA (School for the Arts), he moved to Chicago and worked with several theatre companies, appearing on stage and in television commercials. For many years, Chris and Laura worked out of their studio on Chicago's west side, traveled around the country, and exhibited Laura's paintings at art fairs. When not "on the road", Chris began expanding his picture framing skills and mastering his craft. After a 2 year renovation and build out, they opened Jackson Junge Gallery in the fall of 2009. Chris can often be seen at the gallery discussing artworks or consulting guests about their picture framing.
Owner / Gallery Artist
Laura is the signature artist and co/owner of Jackson Junge Gallery. Her first found love for painting began with a class that she enrolled in at community college. With a desire to pursue a career in the arts, Laura attended the School of the Art institute of Chicago. After graduation, Laura's passion for painting was the driving force that took her on the journey of exhibiting her artworks at numerous art fairs around the country and, eventually, opening Jackson Junge Gallery. While most of her time is spent at her studio, Laura plays a very active roll in gallery.
Anna holds a BA in Art History from UIC where her main focuses were Russian Constructivism and Native American art. She comes to the gallery after working with a local florist. In her free time Anna enjoys exploring the city's museums, festivals and comedy clubs, blogging, and making flower crowns.
